It just goes on and on

Town's First Team kept their unbeaten run going with a 2-0 victory away to bogey side Silsden. Late goals from John Sheldon (pictured) and Jordan Johnson saw Castle make it 23 wins out of 23 and with the other teams dropping points Town moved a massive 26 points clear at the top although New Mills have 4 games in hand. Perhaps another reason for the victory was a little bit of superstition. Castle's only other victory at Silsden was when they played in blue and so Town changed from their usual away strip of white to blue and also Secretary Ray Tatton missed the other victory and did not go today. Spookey or are Castle just a better side these days?

The second victory came from Town's Reserve side who beat Norton by 3-1. Town dominated the game and only the woodwork and some good saves kept the score down. The goals came from Kyle Diskin and Rob Wade in the first half and Nathan Sutton in the second before the visitors pulled a goal back towards the end. The victory keeps Town Reserves in third place.
