The Youth Section
Newcastle Town FC junior section is a FA Charter Standard club and is proud of it’s reputation of nurturing and coaching the talents of the area’s young footballers. The junior section achieved the highly prestigious Charter Standard award several seasons ago, which means every team run has a qualified first aider and CRB checked coach. The club now has a higher level of coach than ever before, with FA qualified level 3 coaches within the junior section.
The junior section is chaired by Steve Wilmore, who officially formed the youth section for the 2000/2001 season. Since then the club has achieved mega growth in a short space of time, with the club now running 9 boys teams and 5 girls teams, as well as developing a Saturday Soccer School, Summer Camps, Fun Days, Open Days and the Newcastle College football Academy.
The junior section and first team are heavily linked to aid development, and this is shown by every player for the youth section receiving a pass to allow free entry into home first team and reserve matches upon signing for the club. The junior section has it’s own suite at the Lyme Valley Parkway Stadium, which every member of the junior section can have access. Whether it’s to play on the Playstation or just to slouch on the sofas with mates, the facilities are there.
Newcastle Town FC junior section is always encouraging our youngsters to take part in fund raising events, however anyone who feels able to offer any sponsorship will be welcomed with open arms. Most of our teams results can be found at www.football.mitoo.co.uk or www.staffordshirecountyseniorleague.co.uk
